Jessamine Cuaresma is a one of our newer Technical Recruiters at DPP, but she’s no stranger. Jessamine interned here for several summers as the Administrative Assistant and Executive Assistant while she completed her degree at USC.

Jessamine, what do you like the best about being a technical recruiter?

It is a rewarding feeling to know that I am helping someone find their next career and helping them make that next step in their life.

What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to try?

Sky diving… this is crazy because I am definitely scared of heights, but I think it would be such a fun experience.  Who knows, I might actually have the guts to do it one day!

What’s your favorite sport or pastime?

Definitely Gamecock football and competitive swimming. I bleed Garnet and Black!  And I swam a good bit growing up:  Year-round swimming, Summer League, and high school.  It is such a great sport because it works every muscle in your body.

What was the best vacation you’ve ever taken?

I went on a cruise to the Bahamas. Cruises are fun regardless, but the Bahamas was so pretty — nice weather and clear waters.

What’s the one food you wish had zero calories?

French fries.

What is your favorite season?

Summer and Winter. I like it really hot or really cold. Nothing in between.

What words of wisdom do you try to live by?

“There is little success where there is little laughter.” – Andrew Carnegie

Have you met anyone famous?

I met the famous chef, Wolfgang Puck.  I was on vacation in Venice, California with one of my close friends and her family.  We went to Chinois on Main, one of Wolfgang Puck’s restaurants in Santa Monica.  By the time we were almost done with our meal, Wolfgang came out of the kitchen to greet every table.  He talked to us for a bit and I was able to shake his hand.  It was pretty cool because we had no idea he would be working that night or even be at that restaurant since he owns so many.  It was a great surprise!  Awesome chef and awesome food!

Thanks, Jessamine!
